FeltStudioUK Comes to Manchester

Purl City Yarns is proud to announce FeltStudioUK Trunk Show
3rd April 12pm-3pm

As the latest in our series of visiting trunk shows, we welcome you to visit the shop to learn more about FeltStudioUK and see a range of  beautiful fibres.

FeltStudioUK is the creation of Daniela, a 29 year old fibre artist based in the UK offering handspun and hand dyed yarn, unique felted items and spinning fibres.

Daniela’s handspun yarns have been published in several books, and her yarn and fibre display is always a feast for the eyes. FeltStudioUK is her full time occupation, which she will be talking about at the trunk show.

It all started eight years ago, when she discovered felt-making and five years ago taught herself to spin. As a result of both these passions you will see and be able to buy a very wide range of fibres, including wool - Merino, Falkland, Shetland, Romney, Corriedale, BFL, Teeswater, Wensleydale, Cotswold, alpaca, camel, llama, mohair, silk, bamboo, tencel, viscose and sometimes a bit of sparkle - Angelina, trilobal, lurex.

Most of Daniela’s fibres are hand dyed and the batts are hand carded.
Also, some of the fibre comes from local rescue farms, in order to support the wonderful job they do.

Entry for the event is free and as it coincides with our regular Sunday knit club, bring along your projects to work on during the show!
