Japanese Tsunami Fundraiser this Wednesday evening at Purl City Yarns

Come Along for a Knit-a-long

This Wednesday, 23rd March, 5pm-8pm, at Purl City Yarns

After the recent terrible events in Japan, the staff and customers at Purl City Yarns would like to raise some money for the British Red Cross Japanese Tsunami Appeal.

Come to the shop this Wednesday evening, 5pm-8pm for a Knit-a-long. We will be serving Japanese beer, tea and sake in return for a donation and not only will there be a raffle where you can win yarn or knitting related goodies but also a silent auction where you can bid on a range of fantastic items such as exclusive skeins of Wild Fire Fibres yarns, Noro handknits and places on a knitting technique course.

At the moment we are also donating 50p from the sale of each ball of Noro Kureyon/Silk Garden/Sekku, 50p from the sale of each Noro Pattern Book and £1 from the sale of each ball of Noro Kureyon Sock and Silk Garden Sock to the Red Cross Japanese Tsunami Appeal. This applies to purchases both made in store and online.

We have also created a Just Giving fundraising page. If you cannot make it on Wednesday evening but would like to support this cause, please consider making a donation via the website.

We hope to see you on Wednesday and look forward to a great evening!
